seriously, i haven’t said ‘hi’ for over a month? man, that’s pretty stink. i had to move stuff round because we are painting, and i couldn’t get my sewing machine out to play with. don’t ask me why that affected my being able to post, but it did. i know, s-t-r-a-n-g-e. and now i don’t know what to say.
lets start with some good stuff. i discovered these the other night
along with vanilla icecream and old fashioned chocolate sauce, so good! i used mine for a spoon, they are kind of the consistency of a pita bread crisp.
old fashioned chocolate sauce
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon cornflour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon butter
¼ teaspoon vanilla
Mix cocoa, cornflour, brown sugar and milk in a small saucepan, until there are no lumps. Heat slowly to boiling, stirring constantly. Turn the heat down to low and stir until thick. Stir in butter and vanilla essence and serve.
you know, i would have taken a photo of MY icecream, chocolate sauce and crackers, but yeah, you guessed it. i ate it too quick.

I’m not surprised ! It’s good to see you back .
thanks geraldine
Meh, was probably good to have a month off! Clears the brain, soothes the soul.
I’m so happy to see this recipe for chocolate sauce using cocoa. I often find myself with a desire for chocolate and no chocolate in the house, but I usually have all these ingredients so I’ll look forward to trying it.
cheers Gina, this definately seemed to hit the chocolate-spot, hope it works for you too!
